This was a beautifully written but disturbing memoir. It was quick to read, being relatively short but was also very compelling. The subject matter could have been treated in a sensationalist way but is actually treated very sensitively. I don't know how the father got to his position in the church but he was obviously a very good manipulator of people.

This book was certainly different from what I'm used to - but I found it interesting, and that is one of the reasons I enjoy book crossing - trying new things
