Holly couldn't live without her husband Gerry, until the day she had to. They were the kind of young couple who could finish each other's sentences. When Gerry succumbs to a terminal illness and dies, 30-year-old Holly is set adrift, unable to pick up the pieces. But with the help of a series of letters her husband left her before he died and a little nudging from an eccentric assortment of family and friends, she learns to laugh, overcome her fears, and discover a world she never knew existed.

The kind of enchanting novel with cross-generational appeal that comes along once in a great while, PS, I Love You is a captivating love letter to the world!

This was the first great book this year that I have read and it will be hard to find another book to pass this one's grade, truly an "A"! I got lost in this book, so many feelings flying through here. I would love to have jumped right into the book and given Holly a hug, reading the book makes you feel like you are her friend already.
This new Author is someone that I will be watching for further books!
I will be making this into a Bookring A.S.A.P..PM me if you would like to be added to the list,

I really enjoyed this one!! (I finished it the same night I received it…6 hours of reading – very quick going!!) I felt so bad for Holly; I could just feel everything that she was going through. I can’t imagine having to go on with life after losing your spouse so young!! This book had me laughing & crying both, and I love that in a book!! Thanks for sharing this one SCA2003!! I will be shipping it off to BigBird2002 later this morning. Hope everybody else enjoys it!! :O)

Alright! I've been waiting to read this since the first time I heard about it. I ALMOST went out and bought a copy of it so I wouldn't have to wait for the ring. It has arrived, and I will start reading it today.

Journal Entry 7 by BigBird2002 from Mesa, Arizona USA on Sunday, February 20, 2005
This was a GREAT book! I really liked the characters and how real they seemed. I would be freaked out at first by a list left by my husband if he passed away, but I think after the initial shock it would be nice to have. It was great to see how Gerry was very real about what he wrote in his letters. I especially liked what he wrote about moving on towards the end (I don't want to write any spoilers). Thank you for letting me be a part of this ring. This book will be mailed tomorrow to knitwit.

Journal Entry 8 by knitwit from Yardley, Pennsylvania USA on Thursday, March 3, 2005
The book arrived yesterday and I have already begun reading.

What an uplifting, positive book! I really enjoyed it and even though it was really sad in spots, I didn't cry like I thought I would. One of the things I enjoyed the most was Holly's changing relationships with her brothers. Tragedy made her a little more compassionate and understanding just when she needed compassion and understanding herself.

Received in yesterday's post. Have a few rings in front of this one. But should get to it just after Easter.

5/05 Just finished reading this lovely novel that really touched a cord with me as my husband of 15 + years just passed away on April 6, 2005. I don't know how this young author could relate to what a grieving spouse thinks and feels but I can tell you from my perspective she did an "on the money" job.

On now to Tashajean just as soon as I have the address.

Journal Entry 15 by ariesgirl29 on Sunday, September 11, 2005
I really liked this book! It was sad but yet seemed so real. I particularly liked the ending - so many books try to tie it all up in a neat package when that's not the way life is. Am pming the next person on the list.

This isn't the first time that I've joined a bookring cause the book sounded so good only to receive it and realize that I'd read it already! Since I don't track library books on here, my guess is that is how it happens.

Since I've read this already, I'm sending it on to Elinell.

Journal Entry 19 by elinell from Clearfield, Utah USA on Thursday, December 8, 2005
I have received this book and in the last day have done very much slacking at work and gotten about a third of the way through. I will journal when I am complete and sending it on. Thanks!
