I received a PM from the author suggesting that I might enjoy her book. Since I believe in supporting new authors, I decided to give this a try. This book is self-published through Booklocker.com.
This book provides an interesting glimpse into live during the late nineteenth century, and the evolving role of women in society. It also explores the impact our choices have on our lives, as well as on our families and communities.
Unfortunately, the dialog that forms the framework of this book feels forced, without a natural flow, which detracts from the overall impact. However, the first person accounts connected by this dialog are quite good, and often very moving. Overall, a good book for anyone interested in what life in nineteenth century America was like.

I'm sending this to Antof9 for her m-bag to New Zealand for their 2006 convention.
Picked this book up off the book table at the Meet and Greet night on Friday 17th Feb.
Sounds good from the back, so I plan to read it.

I enjoyed this book, hearing from different people, reading about bits of history of these characters.
These people led very intersting lives.

Picked up at the BC meetup and is now sitting on my TBR shelf :)
It's been almost a year since I got this book, I wanted to read it but I haven't gotten around to it, and since I'm clearing out my shelves I'm going to release it unread a.s.a.p.
