Sent to Antof9 for the Bookcrossing Secret Santa. I hope it gives you as much pleasure to read as it did me in choosing it. Enjoy!

I was on vacation for a total of 10 days, and when I got our mail from "vacation hold", it required one of their big plastic mailbins! Pre-BXing, vacation mail came in a plastic bag. Now that I'm a BXer, we just have a whole lot more!

Thank you SO much! I can't believe you got a brand-new book from my wish list! I feel spoiled. Rotten :)

Special thanks to Felicia-Fairy for organizing the Secret Santa project -- this really was fun!

Thanks again, Meshe -- I can't wait to start this series! (now I just have to figure out which one goes first)

Special thanks to the Book Talk forum -- someone posted the same question I had, and now I know the order! Even better yet -- I can start reading them :)

Here's the correct order!

(and the american titles):
1. Confessions of a Shopaholic (UK- The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic)
2. Shopaholic Takes Manhattan (UK- Shopaholic Abroad)
3. Shopaholic Ties the Knot
4. Shopaholic & Sister

So I'm still not positive what I think about this book! I thought it might be interesting to discuss it in Book Talk, so I started this thread. I'll also copy my opening post here as my entry, since I'm still thinking about it :)

1. NOWHERE near as good as "Can You Keep a Secret?" I wish I hadn't read that first.
2. Is it just me, or are these books VERY Bridget Jones-y? Or is it more that they are just young single girl in England-y? I did like these better than Bridget Jones, I have to say. Maybe because they were cleaner? Not sure.
3. Spoiler Alert -- I was afraid that she was going to get with the rich guy and take care of her debt that way -- seemed like an awful way to "fix" the problem.
4. The biggest thing -- I was SERIOUSLY DISTURBED reading the majority of this book! My stomach actually hurt for her debt problems. I kept thinking -- this isn't really a funny situation! It's a serious, real, problem. How is this "entertaining"?
5. Is anyone else disturbed by the lying in this book? It's treated so lightheartedly, in fact -- not really addressed at all, and sort of bothered me
6. I'm afraid to start #2 (Shopaholic Abroad/Shopaholic Takes Manhattan), as I don't have #3 yet! (I do have #4 though, and it's almost March, so my self-imposed "no buying books in Feb" is almost over) Also, hasn't she learned her lesson? So shouldn't she no longer *be* a shopaholic?

I'm not sure what else to think. I just know I was actually upset about her debt most of the day yesterday!
