The Book Red Light Wives are about six women who turn to a Man name Clyde who take them in because of whatever help they need. Clyde has an escort service and he sends them out with different men and what ever they get paid they owe Clyde a third.

Lula is one of the characters in the book and she has move to San Fraciso with her husband Bo. Bo is Odessa brother. Odessa and Verna is Lula friends and they both are lesbians. When Lula and Bo move to San Fraciso they had to live in a shabby motel. Bo decided to go to this convience store to get some food, but it was an fatal accident. Bo was
shot to death during a robby and now Lula was stuck with no where to go. So all she had was her friends Odessa and Verna. Lula did found somebody in the motel she was in, her name was ester. Ester was an escort for Clyde and she was also his first wife. Ester than let Lula come into her home and promise to get her the best top job.

The red light wives are actually 5 women who decides they need money fast so plan on going into this escort business. Clyde is the escort manager and he protect the girls and set them up with a bunch of rich guys. All the girls have problems of why they decide to be an escort. The first girl her name is Rockelle and her husband left her with three kids to raise and she needs the money for her mother. Lula who is an early widow moves to San Fraciso with her husband who got killed in a convience store. Lula now turns to Esther another escort for a job. Esther is Cylde first wife and she hires everybody. Red Light Wives talks about what women do when in need for money and does not have a man to help them out. Cylde wants the girls to think of theirselves as escorts instead of whores of the street and he is the pimp. Every girl has an issue, but it seems like once they start they can not.
I really enjoy this book because it gives you a highlight on how some women have to live their lives just to support their family. The girls could quit after a few dates, but instead they became money hungray and wanted more and was not thinking of their family. I rate this book a 8 because it dealt with a lot of things that goes on now. I also like it because it was very interesting to read. All the girls had a good sense of humor.
