Most reviewers found this book both horrifying and amusing, an odd combination, to my thinking.
I intensely disliked it, on every level. Purporting to be a memoir of a childhood spent
in the presence of serious madness, to me it seemed oddly devoid of any emotion whatsoever.
I found it neither moving nor funny, but wooden and distant. You can go with the terrific
reviews, and - who knows? You too may love it to pieces.
Below it says the book was released at the Starbucks on M St., but this is not true. It was released at the Starbux on Wisconsin Ave. in G'town.
