Just received as an RABCK. Thank you, CarynPic!
Ohmygosh, I LOVED this book. John Irving tells a story the way it should be told. The characters were all quirky and real and so well developed that they came to life for me. Some parts were amusing and some were laugh-out-loud funny, some were tender and heart-breaking. I was hooked from the beginning, and I enjoyed every single moment of the story.
This was my first Irving novel. Everyone who saw me reading The Cider House Rules emphatically recommended a A Prayer for Owen Meany and The World According to Garp, so looks like I have more Irving to read.
Will be sending the book on to indygo88, who chose the book as part of the "I know I shouldn't, but I'm a TBR
hoarder..." Relay.

Got it today! I have yet to read an Irving novel, and now I've got several of his on my shelf waiting for me, due to rave reviews. Now which one do I choose first??? :')
