I bought this book for my husband who has an interest in Mathematics. No idea what he thought of it
very interesting book. thank u for the trade.
just finished this one! the first half of the book was great, and i got very into it especially on the origin of indo-european words for cardinal and ordinal numbers and counting techniques. the second half became more 'dry' and it seemed like the author was trying to make a discussion or argument but i felt it was a list of short facts almost forming a loose argument and because of this i lost interest. i was hoping he would write more like a daniel dennett where the topics are brought alive. still a good read, but not highly recommended. am taking to tonights BC meetup so it can find another reader!
