"An adventure . . . a religious parable, a plea for tolerance and a love story . . . it is surprising and funny and frequently brilliant."
From Publishers Weekly:
In a "wonderfully irreverent comic novel," Harington writes of the cockroach community of the Arkansas Ozark town of Stay More. Despite some archness, "the story contains suspense, romance, heroism, skulduggery and religious philosophizing, in a highly risible mix."
Different cover art.

Promoted to the "short list" tbr pile and reserved for catsalive as part of the "Make Me Read It, I'm drowning in TBRs!" bookrelay.
As quoted on the back of the book (and above), this is a surprisingly good book considering the subject matter. With lots of laugh-out-loud sections, it is not only amusing, but also very clever on a number of different levels - and on top of that a good story. I learned more about 'Roosterroaches' than I ever thought I wanted or needed to.
And Sam is really so sweet . . .

Thanks, c-t. Glad you enjoyed it seeing I made you read it.
