Finally! This book took me so long to read.. and I am generally a speedy reader. Booker prize winners are usually my thing... but this was the exception and I just made myself read it in the end. I can understand that the language has a unique quality, and many other readers have enjoyed it, but it just didn't appeal to me. Unless otherwise instructed, I will try to pass this book onto another bookcrosser who may enjoy it more than I!

I did get through this book but found it quite difficult going. I had a lot of trouble with keeping up with which family member was who.

In the end this was, for me, a disturbing tale of family.
