An amazing insight into the mind of someone who is autistic with an intriguing story as well. Putting this book on as part of a book club.

Arrived yesterday, looking forward to reading this as it's been on my mental "must read soon" list!

A really good read -fascinating insight into the mind of a teenager with Asperger's. I could relate so many of his thought proceesses and behaviours to people I've known and children I've taught, maybe proving that conditions like this really are on a spectrum.
I felt real sympathy for Christopher as he struggled to make sense of a confusing adult and idiomatic world.

I will admit that my heart sank when I opened this package - it is a book that's been on my "must read" list for ages, without ever really appealing to me. I started it early, thinking it might be a bit of a slog & read it in one sitting!

I thought it was incredible & could relate so much of it to a friend's son who is autistic. Much of it had me in tears and other parts made me laugh. Thank you for sending this one!

Will send it on to Mrs Bridgewater.

Received this morning, have recently read this book, and found that it didn't live up to all the hype. Maybe if I had come to it without any expectations I would have enjoyed it more.

I too enjoyed this book, the first book I've managed to finish in a while. Christopher was a surprisingly sympathetic narrator and I felt really sorry for him as the story progressed. The Maths bits were so far over my head that I felt as if I kind of understood how Christopher felt about many of the things that the rest of us take for granted.

I'm sending it on to Anfield, hopefully on time this time ;-)

I read this about 4 months ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Posting onto Avoca today.

Received in the post today. I have read this recently, so won't re-read it now. I did enjoy the book, although I do think it would have been better coming to it without such high expectations.

Will return to Happygran shortly.
