From the back of the book:
""The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" is a murder mystery novel like no other. The detective, and narrator, is Christopher Boone. Christopher is fifteen and has Asperger's Syndrome. He knows a very great deal about maths and very little about human beings. He loves lists, patterns and the truth. He hates the colours yellow and brown and being touched. He has never gone further than the end of the road on his own, but when he finds a neighbour's dog murdered he sets out on a terrifying journey which will turn his whole world upside down."
This book truly is, as the Sunday Telegraph says "Exceptional by any standards...". It allows the reader valuable insight into the mind of a person with Asperger's Syndrome. It is vaguely humorous and rather sad at times and I loved it. Both my father and then my mother read it and thought it was fabulous. A work colleague of my mother who deals with children with Autism and Aspergers borrowed it and very much enjoyed it.
A great book!

Got this today! I have a few books ahead of it, but they are all fast reads. Can't wait to read it.
I thought this book was absolutely wonderful. When I started it, I really wanted to stay up all night and finish it! I will be looking for more Mark Haddon books after this one. Sending out to jaynereader on Tuesday.
This book is safe and sound in Sheffield. My move has been put back to September however. If things drag on too long here I'll get the book sent to the next reader. Promise I won't keep it for longer than a month! Thanks starfish6188 and denny08 for sending it on.
I decided to get the book sent to me here cos I need reading material! Will PM for the next reader's address.
What an honest, heart-breaking in places story. I didn't think I would read it so quickly but it's difficult to put down once you've started. The characters are all so 'human' for want of a better word. Thanks starfish6188 and denny08 for getting it to me.
Off to Cristina-pt tomorrow.
