"Each time he strikes, he takes two victims. He waits for the first victim to be discovered - a body containing all the clues investigators need to find the second victim, who counts the seconds... to a slow but certain death.
Now, two girls have disappeared, and the deadly countdown begins agian. rookie FBI agent Kimberly Quincy knows the killers deadline can be met - but she'll have to break some rules to do it. Joining forces with her father, renowned FBI profiler Pierce Quincy, and his partner, Rainie Conner, Kimberly will begin a dangerous hunt for a predator like none she's ever seen.
He's had five years to perfect his game. now the clock is ticking. For his victims and for Kimberly..."
I've not quite finished this book yet, but I'm really enjoying it! (You can tell that by the number of stars I've given it - I hardly ever give anything top marks!!) It's the type of book that I really can't put down - I just want to know what's going to happen next. You get enough information about the major characters in order to feel for them, and begin to understand their motivations and drivers. Once I've finished, I'll pass this to my boyfriend to read, as I think he'll enjoy it, and then we'll probably release it into the wild for someone else to enjoy :)

Brilliant book! The ending is quite unexpected, and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing :)
The status is reserved, as I've given it to my boyfriend to read, as I think he'll also enjoy it.
There are shocking bits, funny bits, sad bits and very, very clever bits in this book, and the whole thing is highly entertaining. Lisa keeps you guessing, right to the end.
I'll definitely be looking out for more of her books!

This is off on a BCUK bookring, it was very small but is now a nice size, but can still grow with BCUKers...!

Journal Entry 5 by Robbiesmum from Thirsk, North Yorkshire United Kingdom on Wednesday, June 29, 2005
Thank you Katie1980! I'm looking forward to reading my second book by this author. I've just finished a book so I'll start reading this tonight.
I read The Other Daughter a few years ago - I remember as i was in hospital and I read it straight through in a day. It was an excellent thriller and i've kept meaning to buy her other books. I'll enjoy munching my sweeties while i read tonight (although hubby's fave sweeties are coca cola bottles so I may have to eat these after lunch! Bournemouth loos so sunny - our sun has all gone :-(
