recv'd from SandDanz....did not even know I was going to get this one..thank you!
I am sending this to PJW for part of the "Welcome Wagon" relay. No, I have not read it but since my tbr pile is so large, I decided to let this one go.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
Historical note for anyone reading this journal and wondering just how big khillz28's TBR pile is: I just counted the books on her shelf that she's marked To Be Read, and there are 63 of them. And I thought I was bad holding onto 8 books at a time.
Thanks for sending me this totally unsolicited book from my wishlist. I feel bad making it sit on the shelf and wait its turn to be read, but I'm sure I'll be able to get it to someone who'll want to read it after me!

I just finished reading the book. The climax was decent, but the rest of the book wasn't that great. Almost all the characters were remarkably thick-headed, and the writing style was just bad.
I like the publisher's logo, though.
This book has been promised to michelle1977 through BookRelay.com, and will be starting its surface mail journey to the Netherlands in the next day or two.

Yay! Received this in the mail yesterday - that was quick! My fiancee michelle1977 accepted it for me and I'm really looking forward to reading it soon.
Anyone who liked the DaVinci Code should definitely read this one as well. Very clever plot and exciting surroundings.
Lending this to naturallybear
It turned out naturallybear has seen "The Da Vinci Code" on Saturday, wasn't very impressed and decided not to read this book right now anyway. So it's going back on my wife's (michelle1977) TBR pile.
Wow, this sure was a thrilling read! I only finished the Da Vinci Code the other week and saw quite a few similarities between the two books. This one got me really interested in the Illuminati though and all the traditions that come with it. Makes me wonder though what is real and what is fictional in this book. Although the introduction does say a little about it, I would like to know from certain specifics (like the things said in Robert Langdon's teaching sessions) if they are factual or not.
I did have a little laugh about the line that was handwritten below one of the first pages - maybe that person can tell me more about what is real and what is not!

Leaving this at the YMCA Hotel in Seoul, South Korea.
