From the back of the book:

"The Magic of Zen explains how Zen and magic are not necessarily mutually exclusive and discusses similarities and practices of each. With explanations of the influences of the subconcious and karmic energy, the laws of cause andeffect, polarity, rhythm, correspondence and vibration, the Magic of Zen instructs the reader in becoming more mindful through meditation exercises. This new approach to Zen shows how to use Zen practices to remain in control of your life and stay healthy."

I love the way this book intertwines Zen Buddhism and Wicca. It has some excellent meditation and relaxation techniques. I also liked the way it stressed taking responsibility for your own happiness. This book could probably do some good in some support groups!

Wahoo! Thanks!

I opened this at lunch... looks like mom and I are going to be fighting over it. ;)

Mom - That's my book
Me - No, I got this book
Mom- yeah, but you got it for me, you just didn't know it.
Me - Its not that big of a deal, we live in the same house
Her - yeah, but we don't play by the same rules (as she walks out of the room clutching the book)

I think I'm gonna have to mark this one PC, I don't think I could get my mom to give it up. lol
