Magnus, Cordella, Geoffrey and Gregory are the children of Gramarye's War Warlock and Witch. When their parents' go missing S.P.I.T.E. and V.E.T.O, organizations promoting totalitarianism and anarchy respectively take advantage of the situtation to cause chaos on the land of Gramerye. Set on a planet that has been designed around the Elizabethan period of Earth history, this world has developed elves, witches, fairies, trolls and other fairytale characters as part of the scenery. Fortunately they are on the side of the "wizard's brood"

The major difference between this and the rest of the "Wizard" series, is the notable lack of the wizard. Instead his children take the prominent role. Although written well enough, I really like the commentary that examines the system of government in a more modern perspective when these books are done with the more modern wizard as the primary character.
