Just finished, and yes, it was wonderful. Some minor, niggling thing seemed to be missing, though - and I can't decide what it is.

However, I MUST have a literary magic 8-ball...can someone make me one?

A good friend of mine is a bookcrosser and has threatened to disown me if I do not make a note on this book.

It was delightful- I love intricate detailing of lives. Too bad there was not more Jane Austen in there.

I have given this to another friend now to read. I will not disown her should she not journal.

Got this from a friend who got it from a friend who found it at a Starbucks somewhere. They thought it absolutely great and I have to agree. I will leave it out and about, because that is what this bookcrossing thing is all about, it seems. Maybe another Starbucks. Any excuse for a Vanilla latte is a good one! : )

Talk about life's coincidences...today I went to get my hair cut, which is no unusual occurence. I have followed my stylist around for about a dozen years, and her current shop is in Mt Pleasant over in the Belle Hall shopping Center. It is a token of my love for her that I schlep from James Island across two bridges to see her. Afterwards, I usually treat myself to either a little something at Just Fresh, or a cappucino at the STarbucks next door. But having read fsr44's tirade on many things, including her scorn of Starbucks, I decided to forgo a cappucino there. (See the solution for peace in our forum. After all, Fsr rules supreme. I hear and obey.

But my inner cappucino lover wistfully looked in as I stoically walked by. Something caught my eye. Was that a book unattended on the table? This needed investigation, so I put on my "I'm not happy" face, as instructed by KWAP, fsr herself, and meandered inside. And there it was...this very book!

Now, I know I have already read this, but I was just talking to a friend about this book and how lovely I think it is. I had no choice but to rescue it, so that she, too, may read it. And if it leads her to investigate BookCrossing, great! If not, that's ok, too.

So this book is now rescued from Starbucks on Longpoint road, and has traveled with me home to be journaled and touch base with MartiP, who must be very anxious to hear from it. Ironically, I spoke to MartiP on the phone, just before finding this. I can only hope that finding the book saves me from the wrath that is my due from the mighty fsr.

And to my friend, if you read this, I am really not totally nuts- just after a while this worldwide bookcrossing community becomes like one big family. Fsr is the sister I never had (ha!) only nicer!

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

RELEASE NOTES:

Released by Bookczuk at the Farmer's market...well, not really by her as it was a drive by drop off. I couldn't find any parking spaces, so pulled up and asked a nice guy to drop this and two books off for me at the fountain on the corner of Calhoun and King Street.

REturned from above mentioned friend, who still is resisting the siren call of BookCrossing. How is that possible?

Wild release today.

Found at a park fountain at the corner of King and Calhoun. I was up from MA visting my girlfriend who goes to CofC. There were a couple of books there, both soaking wet, but I took them anyway.
If you're gonna read this book, you should have a really good knowledge of Jane Austin's books-- or at least read the back where it gives a summary of all of them first. It was an alright book, in depth with characters and everything, but not the sort I usually got for. I hate to sound like a male chauvinist, but this book seemed more for women than anything else. Anyway, hope you enjoy, whoever gets it next!
