While the executioners prepare the gas chamber, while the protesters gather and the TV cameras wait, Adam has only days, hours, minutes to save his client. For between the two men is a chasm of shame, family lies, and secrets - including the one secret that could save Sam Cayhall's life or cost Adam his.

This is a really long book and because of that I put off reading it. It starts with a punch, a KKK bombing and the killing of innocent people which makes it a real page turner. Around page 350 or so, I started wondering when all the suspense would begin. Finally I realized that it wasn't going to happen and was somewhat disappointed. I thought he could have done more with the Rollie Wedge and Aunt Lee angle. It kept me interested, but in the end, I realized not much happened.
Will release for another to enjoy.
