4 journalers for this copy...
Michael Connelly is one of my favorite authors. His Harry Bosch series is the best modern day hard-boiled detective crime fiction I have read to date. This book was the first in the series, and won the 1993 Edgar Award for Best First Novel. This is the second copy I've purchased for release since I love this series so much.
I am releasing this one in a controlled release to time-traveler. (Placing it in the mail tomorrow since today is Columbus Day and the P.O. is closed)
I received this yesterday in a trade with nancyluvsbooks. I usually don't go for homicide/detective mysteries, but this one does look suspenseful. I am going to read this when I am in the mood for something different. Thanks, nancylovesbooks, for encouraging me to try a book that is out my "comfort zone"!
FROM THE PUBLISHER
For LAPD homicide cop Harry Bosch -- hero, maverick, nighthawk -- the body in the drainpipe at Mulholland Dam is more than another anonymous statistic. This one is personal.
The dead man, Billy Meadows, was a fellow Vietnam "tunnel rat" who fought side by side with him in a nightmare underground war that brought them to the depths of hell. Now, Bosch is about to relive the horror of Nam. From a dangerous maze of blind alleys to a daring criminal heist beneath the city to the tortuous link that must be uncovered, his survival instincts will once again be tested to their limit.

Offered on Bookrelay. Sending to Maurean in FL. Enjoy!
I have just recently read my first Connelly novel (Void Moon) and loved his writing style, so when I saw this up on the relays, I had to have it! Thanks for sharing, time-traveler, and I will journal again once I've read this.
A pretty entertaining read. I liked Harry; enough that I'll read others in this series if given the opportunity.
