The pilot's wife
5 journalers for this copy...
Bought today for the m-bag going to The Netherlands for Moem's OBCZs and any other Dutch BookCrossers she wants to share with!
In case you're wondering how I chose what books I would buy, I chose books by popular authors, recognizable titles, and in good shape.
I may read this one before sending it on -- it looks really interesting :)
This copy is signed by the author -- see the picture.

OK -- I am not putting this one in the m-bag, as it is going to go to DMA7, but I will buy a replacement copy, as my Goodwill has a lot of them (it's an Oprah's book club book). I read it on the plane on the way to New Jersey for a business trip, and I have limited computer access, so I won't be writing much of a journal. . .
The first and main thing I took away from this was that it was really hard to read, as the reader is basically going through the grieving process with the Pilot's Wife. It's very sad and very tough to read, especially if you have lost someone close. However, it's clear that the author has experienced this type of loss, as her writing is totally and completely believable. Her descriptions of how the characters experience grief are spot-on.
I was surprised by a couple of typos in this book, but of course, now that I go back to try to find them, I can't. I really liked this book, but it was very, very sad. Reading it on the plane is not my first recommendation, either.

Thanks for sending this back! You didn't have to :) Hope you liked it.
I felt so sorry that this book didn't get to go on a journey to the Netherlands that I decided to send it to Austria! I'm so glad DMA7 gave it back to me, or it would be stuck in New Jersey right now :)
From one OBCZ to another! This book is headed off to visit 5Schwammerl as part of the OBCZ Friendship Challenge. What a lovely idea for Christmas!

I took the book from tonight's Ladies Night.
I think I was in a bookring for this, but it is stalled.
I saw that this book was registered by Antof9 (*waves at Ant*)
We have a friend in common: Sunneschii in Switzerland ;-)
