Somebodies and Nobodies
3 journalers for this copy...
"somebodies and nobodies" arrived in my mailbox this afternoon. i'll read it as soon as i can, so i can pass it on.
this straightforward and easy-to-read book dares to imagine a time when everyone in the world will be treated with equal dignity - when rank will still exist (because it can be a useful tool), but the abuses associated with it will be anathema.
i'm not sure i can see the world playing out the way the robert fuller writes about, but it sure is nice to have something to aspire to!! after all, it wasn't all that long ago that discrimination based on gender, colour or age was considered ok. maybe just by putting the idea of "rankism" out there, people who read this book will start to question the way they do things, and lasting change will be possible.
holding onto this book till i can get it to grooble.

sending this through the post to grooble this morning. hope you enjoy it!
as a complete nobody, who has the gall to expect to be treated like a somebody, I found this book utterly brilliant. Not that there is anything new in it, but that it crystallises my thoughts on such things as workplace bullying, racism, and judging people by what they are wearing.
Thanks, cosminx!
