Second book I've read on Chang & Eng, the first was non-fiction. This one given to me by friend in New Zealand. Finished reading it in my car on the Bolivar ferry -- Texas. These much written about conjoined twins are fictionalized in this account. But having read both fiction and non-fictional accounts, the psychological impact of this version is sometimes overwhelming. Certainly mind-bending.. Two, disparate personalities who must, who have no choice but to live/share/weep/laugh/walk/love as one. And yet they are 'two' bound as 'one'.
The epilogue describing 'death and death again' is wrenching.
Worth reading.
