16 journalers for this copy...
The sequel and continuation of *Wanted Words*, the first one (see my description to the other one, below). This will join its big sister on the bookring
This arrived today, and looks fun. As I mentioned in the entry for the first volume, I think MrBat & I will enjoy reading this to each other while he is on vacation.
Thanks for sharing, jessibud!

Just as much fun as Volume 1, and another great stress reliever for MrBat during the World Series (reading this to him was about the only way I could get him to stop pacing).
Among the favorites from this volume were leaderhoser (incorrectly assumed to be a Canadian phenomena!!); meanderthal; and perhaps the very best of all: stufflation!!! (no, I'm not tellin' - look 'em up yourself!!)

Also received this today from deenbat (along with book 1)! I think I may have to abandon chit-chat tonight to read these!!!
This is the second of the two that I'm sending off to Cyberkedi today!!
Just received as part of a bookring with its predecessor.

Just arrived with its predecessor in the jessibud bookring. My husband and I have both been laughing over it already!
What a fun book! I read it to my husband as we drove to the city one day. On its way to Graubart today!
Just received today from Urushiol. I'm on it.
I was going to post my favorite word from the books, but there were just too many. On the way to hotflash.
Received as part of a two-book, book ring. Both of these books are bound to add lots of new fun words to my vocabulary. Will read over the next few days!
This one was as much fun as the first (although I did skim this one because a much-awaited bookring novel has just arrived). I enjoy the little editorials included with each new word: little bits about how or why the words were submitted or chosen, and/or submittors stories about how they came up with their new addition to our vocabulary. These are all very, very creative. Thanks jessibud...another fun read I would never have picked up with you pointing the way!
On the way to vraciousrdr. This is truly a fun read.
looking forward to reading
Ah, always love a series so to speak. Enjoyed book 2 of Wanted Words. Eagerly looking to book 3.

I received this book and it's mate in the mail the other day. I will get to them soon.
Sorry it took me a while to finish these books, but i moved in the middle. Finally unpacked them and read them in two days. Anyway, they were fun to read. Thanks for sharing them with us.
And here's book 2! Thanks for sharing, jessibud! I was just reminded of a made-up word I used this morning. I was talking about "clapter". Doesn't that sound more like a lot of people clapping than "applause"?
Also, I feel the need to point out that making up words is very different from using a word incorrectly or making one up but believing it's a real word. I had a former boss who used to say, "it's not rocket scientry," in total seriousness. If you hear that often enough, you begin to believe "scientry" is a word! EEK!

Sorry to jump in but I just have to make a comment (or two!). I LOVE your *clapter*, Ant!! It actually sounds to my ears like a combination of clapping and laughter, and what could be more wonderful (unless, of course, it's at a serious event, such as a drama or piano recital <:-O)
And I also had a friend who constantly used (incorrectly) a word she had made up, actually thinking it was a real word, in spite of my trying to explain and set her straight. She was a business person and I thought, as a friend, I was doing her a favour by trying to prevent her from looking ignorant when talking to clients. But she was (is) one of those people who is *always* right, if you know what I mean, and she completely dismissed my attempt to correct her. So, pftftft, I let it go, although it still annoys the heck out of me. I hope someday that one of her clients points out to her that her word is really not a word at all. (baaaad jessibud!) :-D
I will now return you to your regular bookring books. Enjoy!

And now we come to the journal entry for the mysteriously missing book. Wanna know where it was? Not two whole feel from where I sit most of the day, 5 days a week. Literally. When I found it, I didn't even have to use the wheels on my desk chair. *sigh* In my defense, it was hiding between two other books :)
So once again in this book as in Book 1, I noticed several times where some of the "runners-up" were actually words I liked better than the actual word they picked. And is it just me, or is it odd that they say "X" is the word to represent this funny thing, but then they use all the other words submitted in the description? Oh well. Some days my brain can hold it all, somedays it can't :)
More words that grabbed me:
Jessibud, thanks so much for sharing these fun books with us! And thanks, especially, for your patience while I had them so long :)
Off to visit Speddy!

More words that grabbed me:
- "Blabrynth": the elaborate maze of voicemail menus and prompts encountered when phoning businesses or government offices. (all I can say is, "HA!")
- "Datastrophe": the sudden erasure of all your computer work. (and the illustration? a kitty laying on the keyboard, with a cartoon balloon coming out of the owner's mouth, "Oh NO! Figaro! Get down!"
- "Fakeover": an attempt to hide holes and stains in walls and carpets by rearranging furniture; usually done just before company arrives. (LOL -- I think I have one of those downstairs right now!)

Two, two, two rings in one! I'm looking forward to reading through these fun, little books.
What amusing books. I was tickled from cover to cover to read all the different submissions (some of which, I felt, were better than the winners).
Mailed off to mssaver, today. For any interested in tracking its journey to Illinois, here's the USPS Delivery Confirmation #03051720000256769511

Yes, of course this one's here, too.
This book is even better than its "prequel." Like Graubart, I had so many favorites I won't attempt to list them all.
I'm a sucker for humorous books about words, and I think we need a special name for this category of bookrings. Maybe these are laugheling books.

This arrived today along with WW1 in the Wanted Words Bookring. I look forward to reading it. Thanks to Jessibud for starting this ring, and to BrooklinBrat for sending it on to me.
This was such a fun book! I can't even pick a favorite among all the great new words!
I wish I could keep this, but I know I'm just a foster parent and it must continue its journey.
As soon as I get Sonia23's address, I'll send it and its partner on their way.
Update: Sent to Sonia23 on 2/14/06
