It's been a long time since a piece of fiction has moved me like this book did. I've always been a fan of the Sleeping Beauty tale and in "Briar Rose" Yolen has set the familiar story amongst the horrors of WWII and a Polish extermination camp. Beautifully written, I cried a river when I finished this novel. Although this story is fictional, the horrors of the Holocaust are all too real. This is definitely a must-read book and I will be recommended it to several people.
