this book is one of Tyler's best, I did not want this to end but when it did it was with a heart tugging ending.

I love a book that moves across generations but I felt that the main character of the book, Pauline, died too quickly, without any warning. It was also a sad story of how two people stay together in a loveless marriage for so many years, when they could have communicated their feelings to each other and sought help before there was too much lost. I have enjoyed the journey of reading it, and I will return it to the office from whence it came, for someone else to enjoy.
