This is a book for women only probably. It was definetly one of Steele's worst. My mother gives me all her Danielle Steel hand me downs otherwise I wouldn't read them, however, some of her books have been actually readable, usually very predictable but once in a while she suprises us with a twist or turn, however The Cottage was not one of her best, I would even venture to say one of her worst ever, sorry Danielle, the truth hurts!!!!
