This book was probably the saddest story I ever read. It is beautifully written. It really shows how many lives are touched by a tragedy. I did find the description of heaven a little stifling. Not the place of happiness I imagined. I thought that if she would let go and find peace then so could her family and friends. But then maybe I was giving her to much responsibility for their pain.
So happy to have a copy of this powerful book to share.
My copy was a family gift I can't part with.
Thanks so much, pleasantread and booklover!

Received this a couple of days ago as a RABCK from lovemylife and JDT. Thank You both and for the bookmark! =)
Finished this book last night. This was one of those books that really made me think. I was very suprised to find out how many others had also been murdered, and I enjoyed the ending, as it wasn't something that I was expecting. Thank You for sharing this book with me! =)
Reserved for CarynPic.

Thank you very much, mlburgess2, I've been looking forward to reading this!
Truly a wonderful work of fiction. The portrait of grief and pain felt by the family was almost palpable. Am so glad I had the chance to read this.

What a sad story indeed. But was told beautifully. Certain places and things that I thought would be, is a bit different on how Susie saw it. I'm glad that the family came together after all that happened to each one of them. Each time I read made me think of my own life and loved ones.
Just noticed this book seems to have gotten registered incorrectly. I think the book we've been reading/journalling is by Alice Sebold!
I like following the travels of this copy.
Hi to all!

Hi to all!
Thanks for pointing that out JDT. I never even saw it was a different author. Alice Sebold is the author of The Lovely Bones that we are reading.
You Rock Sheila. Thank You so much for the granted wish. I will read it and be sure to pass it along. Books with this much history I try to release in a way I know they will be safe (no wild releases). I look forward to reading this soon.
This is now RSVD for the Paranormal VBB @ BookObsessed.com
This was not chosen from the vbb, so I am placing it back onto my TBR shelf.
