Judge Atlee, once a powerful judge, summons his 2 sons to return to Mississippi to discuss his estate. The judge dies before the meeting can take place and in doing so leaves behind a shocking secret.
I liked this book, but not as well as most of Grisham's others.

Just finished reading the book a few days ago. Took a long time to read due to my busy schedule as a final year student. ;p Overall, the book is a typical John Grisham's novel i.e it is related to law plus the thriller elements. Nonetheless, I found The Summons lacked of the thriller element as compared to other John Grisham novels. It is quite slow moving and it mainly evolves around Ray Atlee's so called 'journey' with the money. As for the ending, I guessed it right ;)
