A fun book about a woman's facination with the Amish. She finds a family that will rent her a room, and it chronicles her time with them and what she discovers not only about them but about herself.

This book came as part of a big M-bag collection from my dear friend jenndiggy.
One of my drama students is doing an individual performance based on an Amish woman, so I might loan it to her for a while. I'm also interested in the Amish: I lived in Philadelphia for some years and travelled a little bit in Pennsylvania Amish areas. Jodi Picoult's book Plain Truth was also compelling reading for me.

Released this to a drama student who is doing a performance about an Amish woman. Hopefully it might add to her insight and understanding of the Amish way of life. It will come back to me when she's done (I haven't read this one yet)...
