I found this book in a Panera Bread store in Cedar Falls, Iowa. I ran acrossed the series in my hometown, Hudson, IA. Ever since then, I have been a Magic Attic Club Member reader.
In this book, the girls dress up as characters from a steamboat trunk, peer into a mirror, and are whisked away into a museum around Christmastime. The museum is shut down, leaving the girls trapped inside. They are accidentally split apart and find themselves struggling to find each other. The major conflict in this book is the girls trying to get together and find a mirror to get back to the attic; thus, they are "Trapped Beyond the Attic". In order to travel back, they must find a mirror and be together. The problem is, though, that all of the existing mirrors in the bathrooms are blocked.
One of the new and unliked girls in the group is a technology wiz, and as a result, is practically forced to figure out the museum computer system and unlock a room. In the process, one of the guards of the museum discovers them, and nearly catches them. They run into a lockerroom, where they discover a mirror and leave the guard baffled as to "what happened to the little girls".
The technology wiz is accepted into the group, and they all live happily ever after.

I would suggest this book to any girl who is looking for an attention holding, adventurous, and exciting book on a rainy day or otherwise. Enjoy! -Sarah, 14
