Ok I didn't read this. It just looks too depressing and stereotypical doom and gloom in brooding Bradford. Someone else can read it and if it's good I'll have another go.

Looks like I'm going to be the guinea-pig then - picked up at Leeds meetup. The local setting means I'll read it sooner rather than later. I'm intrigued that the author was involved with local writing groups etc too.
Wasn't expecting to, but really enjoyed this. A scenario we ought to come across more in fiction perhaps-mixed religion marriage & its problems. I didn't find it credible however that after sacrificing so much to be together one of the partners would so easily betray the relationship.
