This story is told by 3 different charachters. The cover sayd "The side-splitting novel of split-level sex in suburbia!" which makes me wonder if that person read the book.
It is more about class distinction. The first part of the book is the most entertaining as it is told through the eyes of Spofford, a long time resident of the area in the book.
The second charachter, McGland, is a little depressing, but necessary to the plot.
Mopworth, the third charachter, starts out as interesting but winds down too soon.
