Sending to Future Cat for the New Zealand Convention.
A huge sack of books arrived today - too late for the convention, unfortunately, but they'll still be greatly appreciated by the Christchurch Bookcrossers, and a few might end up travelling over to Australia for the Brisbane convention in June.
Wow, what a lot of copies of Tom Sawyer! I'm sure we'll find something creative to do with them...
Many thanks nekki!

Journal Entry 4 by futurecat at Bakery in historic area in Oamaru, Otago New Zealand on Monday, November 14, 2005

RELEASE NOTES:
Unfortunately, the fine weather didn't last for long, and by the time we reached Oamaru it was starting to drizzle again, and the rain got steadily heavier the further north we travelled. By the time we crossed back into Canterbury it was heavy enough to slow the traffic (which was heavy, being the end of the holiday weekend) to a crawl, with visibility so poor that it was sometimes difficult to see the car in front of us. So this book we released in Oamaru turned out to be the last for the trip, because it just wasn't practical to stop anywhere (and certainly not to take photos!) after this.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this little tour of Canterbury and Otago. And I hope a few people who stopped to look at some of the scenic spots of our beautiful country enjoyed the extra bonus of finding a book waiting for them.
Back to the beginning of the tour (for those who started in the middle).

Picked up Tom Sawyer in the Bakery at Oamaru, NZ, for "no dough", on 10 November 2005. It is now in Northern Ireland, some distance away from its last base, the winter being obvious here and in serious comparison with the great sunshine of NZ, our experiences having markedly better than that of the previous writer.
