A huge sack of books arrived today - too late for the convention, unfortunately, but they'll still be greatly appreciated by the Christchurch Bookcrossers, and a few might end up travelling over to Australia for the Brisbane convention in June.
Wow, what a lot of copies of Tom Sawyer! I'm sure we'll find something creative to do with them...

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
RELEASE NOTES: Once over the Lindis, we drove along the side of Lake Dunstan, past Cromwell and Clyde to Alexandra. Unfortunately, it was too windy to release books in any of the many scenic spots we passed.
We spent the night at TopKat's house in Alexandra, and awoke the next morning to rain - very unusual in Central Otago, which is the closest thing the South Island has to a desert. It didn't last long, though, so we were able to release a book in the rose garden in the town's central park.
On to the next stop on our tour...
