I picked this up in a second hand store specifically fof release. I read the trilogy as a teenager and loved the story but not the endless digressions into history and language. I reread eveything last year after watching the movies and felt the same way. I couldn't put hte book down, but I did skip a lot of background lore. And I have seen the wonderful movie three times!

It was asuch a gorgeous day, that I left it outside on the arm of one of the big comfy deck chairs in front of the coffee house. It looked pretty pleased to be chilling in the sun, but I hope someone takes it home before nightfall...

Shortly before leaving NS after 20 years, to return to my home of Edmonton Alberta, I went to my favorite coffee shop (Coburg Road Coffee) to have a last cuppa with one of my very favorite friends. On the arm of the chair I walked to on the front patio was *!TaDa!* my first BookCrossin experience!
