This is my sister's old old copy from High School, that she borrowed from a friend of the family. It's the 1969 edition (just like me!).

I must confess to having only read the first book, but after seeing the movies I want to buy a beautiful new copy and read all three properly.

As much as I like this genre I couldn't get into this book. I have to admit I didn't like the movies either. Only watched the 1st one part way through.

What a delight! This book has the feel of many past readers and as I have not yet read all three Rings books, I am adding it to my PC - which just means that it is going on the camping adventure with me next year and will be passed on again when read.
