I really enjoyed this book. It seemed to be pretty accurate - at least from my point of never have been a Geisha. haha It told about how are young girl was removed from her family. Her struggles and triumphs at becoming a Geisha...and finally getting what she wanted for many years.

Sending on to a swap in PA - enjoy and thanks for the trade dg7500. I loved the book and am looking forward to the movie. But we all know the book is so much better.

Received today as part of a book swap with BookInBag. Funny thing...went to see my SIL this afternoon, and she had a copy as well that she offered to me, so I guess I'm meant to read this one. I too want to read the book before seeing the movie, so I need to steam through and finish my current book...before the movie goes *POOF* and is out of the theaters!

I absolutely loved this book! After talking with my SIL, she told me it was a 'deep, slow read', so I kept putting off starting this one. Once I started, I couldn't put it down...it was fascinating, and the characters had a great depth to them that kept me wondering from one page to the next what would happen next.
