Picked up this book at June MeetUp of the TriValley BookCrossing group. I've been wanting to read this, so most appreciative. Thanks, JDT.
Loved reading/discussing this book with my book group a few months ago.

A fine story of the immigrant experience, focused on the experiences of first generation Indian-American Gogol Ganguli. The character development for Gogol and his immigrant parents is superb. The writing does a terrific job of evoking their environment, their experiences, even their inevitable conflicts that arise out of differing perspectives.
Returned the book to BookCrosser JDT, who has another reader waiting for the book. Thanks, JDT!

This book was an incredible look at the struggle of immigrants to America to hold on to their traditions while deciding which American traditions to embrace.
I have loaned this book to my friend Jessica.
