I love Joyce Carol Oates - Bellefleur was one of my favorite books. I started this one but early on it was clear that this was going to be about a sexual assault and i wasn't in the mood to finish reading it.

I caught this book @ Caribou Coffee in Batavia. I was pleased to see Joyce Oates book there by the fireplace beckoning a reader. For me a good book makes you laugh and cry many times over and the story of The Mulvaneys did just that. Thank you 4eyedgre for sharing. I'm planning on dropping this book off while camping. Fun to see where it goes...
