Penalty gift from a friend for not having read Automated Alice yet, yes I know Alice is by Noon. I've been promising said friend I will read Alice since... well... roughly 2001... he's now lost patience and threatened me with a 'penalty book' every month until I read it. Given that he reads nothing by SF and I'm more a fantasy type, I am going to read Alice before the end of August. Ish. :)

I finally read Automated Alice and thought I should get round to trying Gibson. The reviews for both books are up on Alex in Leeds.
