The Poisonwood Bible: A Novel
7 journalers for this copy...
I haven't read this yet. This copy is going to PokPok to revive a bookring. I'll jump in at the end of the ring to read this before the book goes back to her.
Thank you KF for your generosity. I will get this restarted in the next couple weeks, once I ascertain for sure, which of two addresses to send it to. I'm virtually certain I know who I need to skip, but just to be sure, I'm going to sit on it a couple weeks.
Editing this list. I had an original bookring, which was lost, and then restarted. Now JeepACV's bookring has been stalled, so I decided to return the favor, and restart with my copy. Participants below. I would like the book returned to me at the end of the ring. Here are the participants:
vibrant-art (Canada)
saram23 (MA)
WhitePine (CT)
Suzy26 (Netherlands)<~~book travelling to
janetcarolina (Peru)
PokPok (US)
If you will be keeping this book longer than a month, please PM me to let me know. Thanks.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
RELEASE NOTES:
I send this back to
PokPok because I can't ship internationally. She is going to take over getting the book overseas.
Mailed to Suzy26 on September 6th.
Received by mail today. Thanks for reviving this ring and sending it to me, PokPok! I have been waiting to read this book for such a long time. As soon as I am done reading my current novel, I will start on this one.
Impressive novel with interesting views on how the world has treated Africa up until now. The story of the Price family is a tragic one of course. I am glad I did not have a dad like Nathan! First and for all this is the story of the daughters Price. All four of them are real, lifelike characters described in a down-to-earth, utterly believable way. I liked the writing style, poetic at times and often quite humorful. All in all a good read.
p.381 As long as I kept moving, my grief streamed out behind me like a swimmer's long hair in water. I knew the weight was there but it didn't touch me. Only when I stopped did the slick, dark stuff of it come floating around my face, catching my arms and throat till I began to drown. So I just didn't stop.
I have pm'd janetcarolina for her address.
Janetcarolina asked to be skipped, so I sent the book back to PokPok instead.
this made its way back to me today. It's a replacement copy for my original one, which stalled on a bookring. To see my review, go to the other copy on my bookshelf. This will be returned to my PC.
