Bought this weekend at a church book sale in Harrogate
Unusual and quite captivating story about 5 women who are linked with each other via an accident - one of them climbs into a dumb waiter in a hotel. Sara (the one in the dumb waiter) is supposed to be a champion swimmer (and diver?)and the details of that are not at all true to life, which spoilt it a bit for me. I think she should really have been a diver. But it's all fiction, so why worry?

This was interesting, it makes you think. It's poetic but not hard to read.
