I found this book fascinating, but at the same time, I did not really enjoy it. My personal disinterest had to do with the inability of the main character to live without drugs during his quest for inner peace and finding of self. Mr. Shapiro, the author, though, has a wonderful ability to put words together in a way that keeps people reading even though they may find themselves uncomfortable.
