I enjoyed this book a lot. Christopher, who narrates it suffers from Aspherger's syndrome and tells the story of his investigation into the killing of a neighbour's dog in his own way. The simple investigation into who stuck a garden fork through the dog turns into a series of revelations about Christopher's family and his world. Will take to the Leeds Meetup next week.

I picked this up at the Leeds Meetup, and read it quite quickly (for me) - it reminded me of "Crime & Punishment" by Fyodor Dostoevsky, because a lot of the events are connected with the psychological state of the author at the time - I do recommend it, and would have probably rated it higher than 7 if I didn't favour the "classics" so much...
