On assignment in Vienna, photographer Ian Jarrett falls desperately in love with a woman he meets by chance, Marian Esguard. Back in England, he breaks up with his wife and goes to meet Marian at an agreed rendezvous. She fails to show. Ian sets out to solve a mystery that may be 170 years old.

not my usual type of book but very enjoyable - if perhaps a little too convoluted. I will look out for more by the same author. Taking it to the Unconvention with me today.

I picked up this at the Unconvention and started reading it on the train home. I thought this was a very enjoyable yarn. A somewhat unlikely plot, but it was a change from your average thriller.
