Somehow, I seem to have read a lot of "end-of-the-world" fiction since joining BookCrossing. This is another one - nightmare set in the near future, dealing with genetic engineering and environmental breakdown. Ultimately a warning about playing God, as a flawed new age dawns.
I found the relationships between Jimmy and Crake (his visionary genius friend) and Oryx (his lover) interesting.
Some of the ideas reminded me very much of A Scientific Romance (also on my bookshelf), and Earth Abides (one of my favourite novels).

Slightly confused by previous journal, as I actually got this from the Knight's Templar at the December bx meetup. However, I have started reading it, and am enjoying it so far.
