Darrell's last term at Malory Towers promises to be as exciting as ever. There's a new girl, Amanda, a stubborn sports star set on swimming in the dangerous sea - with or without permission. And there's spoint Jo, only happy when she gets her own way.

Arrived today and I'm already reading number five ;-)
Wow, when I read this book I got the idea I've never read it before. It's definetly the book where the German translation left out the most, the whole part with Josephine is missing here ;-) And I liked that part the most, because it was so interesting to read about someone who is not as nice and cute and responsible as allt he others. And what happens? Of course, that person has to fail. I don't know why, but I liked Josephine and her fater much more than all the other persone, maybe because they were so real ;-)
It's terrible that this is the last book now :-( I've really enjoyed them all, and during my holidays I'll read my German books, too. The good thing is, in Germany "Malory Towers" was so popular, that they payed a ghostwriter to write more books, and so we have here twenty books at all in which the story of Darrell is told. She will go to a preparation school close to Malory Towers and after her studies of pedagogic she returns to Malory Towers, becomes an assistnt of Matron, Matron and finally director after Miss Greyling had an accident ;-) I'm looking forward to read about ist ;-)
Arrived today, thanks Maresa!
Too bad that the series is finished now! It was nice to revisit this childhood scenery. Thank you for charing, taniazed!
Books 5 and 6 will be on their way to drutt tomorrow...
It's here, and I'm really looking forward to finishing the series. Thanks for sending it on, bluecat07, and for the lovely postcard.
And the series ends so soon! In this one, we see a little more of Darryl's sister Felicity and Alicia's cousin June. Amanda spots a sporting talent in June and attempts to nurture it despite a personality clash. The horribly spoilt Jo gets what she deserves. Gwendoline gets a terrible scare. Amanda also exhibits a totally unrealistic response to her fate after an episode of recklessness, and for me that jarred a little. All in all though, a fantastic final book to the series.
Thank you so much, taniazed, for the opportunity to read this whole series again, I really appreciate it. This book's now on its way to kitten99.
Arrived safely along with book 5.
There's something quite sad about this book really - a great story, but it brings an end to a fantastic series.
Posted along with book 5 to Lobodyke today (PRCS and lovelovebooks both asked to be missed). Thanks again to taniazed for an enjoyable bookring!
I'm looking forward to another trip down memory lane as I read this book. I have a mystery to finish, followed by the preceding book in the series, and then I'll joyfully read this one. Thanks again for doing this ring, taniazed!
I greatly enjoyed this last in the series, and was sad to finish it. The relationship between new girl Amanda and June was interesting, and I enjoyed the books "wrap-up" of the way certain characters matured while being at Malory Towers. Again, thanks so much for hosting this, taniazed! I'll send on in the next couple of days.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
This is continuing its journey as part of taniazed's Enid Blyton Malory Towers bookspiral. Now if I could just talk her into doing a Famous Five bookspiral ...
received in the mail from lobodyke of Bardstown, Kentucky.
Thank you, lobodyke and thank you, taniazed for organizing this bookring and sharing your books with us. My daughter and I hope to finish this series this summer.
My daughter and I finally finished this series. This book was interesting. It is a good thing that Darrell and her friends had younger sisters who weren't too mature and responsible to do tricks on the teachers, because that is what my daughter enjoys. There were also the few students that needed to learn lessons the hard way, situations which help young readers think about the consequences of certain actions.
