Women of the Silk : A Novel

This book appealed to me as I have lived in Asia for 9 years and anything Asian interests me. The date is 1926 and poor Chinese families often find it necessary to put their young daughters to work in silk factories where they must live and work. The girls survive lonliness and develop strength that leads them to a satisfying life. A great read.
