A very funny and intelligent book, charting the history of British television between the lates 60s and the late 90s. 'Bill and Ben', 'World of Sport', Abba winning Eurovision, 'Are You Being Served?', 'Brideshead Revisited', 'Coronation Street', 'Thirtysomething' and 'The Simpsons'.

The trouble with writing a book of this type is that inevitably not all of your readership will be familiar with all of the programmes to which you refer. I think it is also inevitable that I wasn't really interested in reading about the programmes about which I knew nothing, so I did skip quite a bit.
There was bags of nostalgia though, much humour and some serious and thought-provoking commentary.

This arrived today along with 4 other packages, thus confirming my suspicions that I have won the sweepstake! Oh dear ..... but how exciting!!
Thank you very much Jalna.
It does look interesting and funny.....and I grew up watching these programmes....and that means it is going to be added to Mt TBR. DH may not be amused.....but perhaps he will want to read it too. Here's hoping!
Thank you again :-)

Oh dear, found this while clearing my shelves. I did enjoy reading it at the time and I don't know why I didn't make a journal entry. I am sorry.
To be wild released in the near future.
