Being a fan of the TV show, I had to read the book... unfortunately it didn't quite charm me as much, however I didn't really expect it to.Not a thrilling or intellectual read, it was easy enough to get through and for fans of the show or Bushnell's style or writing, I would recommend a read.

I like the TV version much better, but this was interesting. Is NYC really llke this? I couldn't identify with any of the characters in the book. Maybe I've lived a sheltered life in upstate NY :)

Book arrived today, just in time! I am just finishing my current book. Will be starting on this one later tonight. :-)
Finished it yesterday. I wasn't very thrilled with it. I enjoy the show sometimes, but the book wasn't as good as the show. It touched onto some interesting situations relating to relationships, but never quite got to the 'meat' of relationships. It's like they just skimmed it and you had to read between the lines to grasp any depth. I kept thinking the book would get better as it went on, but it stayed the same.

I enjoyed this book, but am not sure that I would have if I had not seen the series a few times. It was funny, although I couldn't get into how important getting a man or married was to everyone. Other than that obsession, I enjoyed it.
Arrived today, will read soon.

I just couldn't seem to get into this one as much as I thought I would. I kept reading on thinking something really exciting would unfold, but it could never really fully grasp my attention. Maybe the TV show was just so amazing that it overshadowed the original book. :) It made me a bit sad at times for these women (and men) - is life in NYC really like this all the time?

Just to let the other participants know that I have sent Kitten a PM today to find out how this book is going.... its been with her for a while now, but hopefully she'll be able to move it along shortly.

I received this last week, but haven't had time to use the computer until today. I have a couple of book rings ahead of this, but I'm anxious to read it, so it probably won't take long.

After several months of trying to locate this book, its now been established that it was posted to lilkandystar.
I have sent her numerous PM's, I have done ISO searches in the forums, I have consulted the stars... with no luck. I think we can assume that its stalled.
Whilst this was my very first book ring ever, it was never meant to be! I do apologise for the other folks on the ring, I do hope you find another open ring/ray to join.
